My warmest greetings to the organizers and participants of the Palarong Pambansa 2018.This gathering occurs at an opportune time when we are accelerating our momentum towards a harmonious and empowered society. I encourage everyone to develop our youth’s great potential by showcasing their skills and dynamic energy in their chosen sport.

I laud the Province of Ilocos Sur for hosting this significant event and for bringing together our country’s most passionate and talented young athletes. I am confident that the participants’ involvement will put into display our solidarity, teamwork and sportsmanship as Filipinos.

May you find inspiration among your fellow players and cultivate regional pride that is necessary to nation-building. As you play with vigor and fairness, continue harnessing the strengths of each other as we proceed on the path towards real and lasting change.
