The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service (DRRMS), renews its commitment to intensify climate literacy and support climate action in the basic education sector. DRRMS hopes to hone learners and personnel who are climate literate and pro-active in championing resilient and sustainable schools. Currently, the review and enhancement of learning materials with climate change competencies are on-going and are scheduled to be released in 2021. However, there is a need to support teachers in ensuring the transfer of learning at the start of the School Year 2020-2021. This repository of curated resources for teaching climate change hopes to assist teachers to enhance the integration of climate change in the learned curriculum.
