DepEd leads commencement exercises in Zambo siege-affected schools

Zamboanga City – The Department of Education’s Division of Zamboanga City celebrates this school year’s graduation in the areas hit by the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) siege last September 2013.

In the message for the graduates read by School Division Superintendent (SDS) Pedro Melchor Natividad, Education Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC said, “Today is a testimony to the enduring and resilient Filipino spirit, to our ability to stand up again and conquer the odds, to our innate optimism to see the light at the end of the tunnel.” He added, “We have proven that we can surmount any adversity by sharing our light with each other in times of darkness -- both figuratively and literally.”
